Bessman-Kemp Campground
Located west of Alden and situated along the Iowa River, these 71 acres of land were purchased as a park and wildlife preserve in the early 80's. The park has since been used by many locals and visitors for various recreational purposes and currently features 12 electrical campsites, 2 cabins, a shelter house, a restroom, and carry-down river access.

Bessman-Kemp Campground is open mid-April to mid-October. Dates vary depending on the weather.
Camping Check-In: 3 PM
Camping Check-Out: 2 PM
Campground Quiet Hours: 10:30 PM – 6AM

- Property lies on both sides of the Iowa River. Primary access is on the south.
