Sat Jan. 25Discover Iowa's Birds, Winter Rec Fest Calkins’ Nature Area staff members will teach all about Iowa’s winter birds inside the Hardin County Conservation Mobile Wildlife Observatory. Learn to use binoculars to view wild birds, learn more about winter bird, and see some birds up close inside our mobile observatory. As part of our activity, we will also be making snow animals at Riverbend Park after our bird discussion.
Sat Feb. 22Hardin County Archaeology Day Join Hardin County Conservation on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Calkins Nature Area for our first annual Hardin County Archaeology Day! Activities will include classes, demonstrations, spear throwing, guided tours and more.
