Public Comment Procedure

The Hardin County Board of Supervisors have drafted a procedure for the public to provide comments. Please fill out the form on the second page of the document to request to speak in front of the Supervisors at a public meeting. The form should be received by the Board Secretary at least five (5) days prior to the board meeting. Please be sure to read the procedures thoroughly before submitting your request.
 
You can either email the form to jpieters@hardincountyia.gov or mail the form to Hardin County Auditor, 1215 Edgington Ave., Eldora, IA 50627.

Membership Selection

Hardin County elects three members to its board who serve staggered four-year terms. The elected Supervisors serve at-large over the entire county, not by districts.


Weekly Agenda Placement

To be placed on the Board's weekly agenda, contact the Board Secretary at 641-939-8112 or by email, by Tuesday at 9:00 AM, the week of the Wednesday meeting.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Hardin County Board of Supervisors is to plan, finance and deliver services to the citizens of Hardin County that are both mandated and based on community needs in the areas of public safety, public health, human services, drainage, secondary roads, conservation, economic development and administration.
